The Red River and Gulf is always looking for new volunteers! We try to hold work sessions at least once a month. By working with us you’ll get a chance to work with historical equipment, work on and drive trains, and experience the restoration of this priceless piece of Louisiana’s history.

Our future work sessions are on the calendar here.
They typically last all weekend:
Saturdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm
Sundays from 8:00am to 12:00pm
Waters are provided however extra food and snacks are not.
On Saturdays we break at 12:00pm for lunch. You can choose to eat in the lodge, where sandwiches and chips are provided, or drive somewhere to eat.
